Wake County Register of Deeds
Fraud Alert
Who should use this service?
Anyone who owns property in Wake County, or owns a business with a registered assumed name in Wake County.
What is this service?
This is a free service provided by the Wake County Register of Deeds, in order to provide notifications via email when a document is recorded with a name or names that are monitored.
How does this service work?
After you sign up, our system will monitor and email you when a document is recorded with the individual(s) or business name(s) you registered to monitor. Sign-up here.
Disclaimer: This service does not give the Register of Deeds Office the authority to remove any document that has been properly submitted for recording. It is to make you aware that an instrument has been filed in your name. While Fraud Alert does not prevent fraud from happening, it provides a warning system for property owners to take appropriate action if they determine possible fraudulent activity has taken place.
While our free service notifies you when a document is recorded with your monitored name, you may want additional protection.
